Location Insight — Neighborhood Livability Map
Location Insight helps you understand how livable a place feels before you move. Search any address, use your current location, or pick a point on the map to see schools, hospitals, transport, shops, parks, and other everyday amenities nearby — then compare neighborhoods with a clear livability score. Adjust the search radius, filter by category, browse distances in the list, and explore an interactive map with color-coded markers for each place type.
What you can explore
The neighborhood livability map covers categories that matter for day-to-day living: schools and childcare; healthcare; transport and transit; shopping and local markets; food and dining; banks, ATMs, and post offices; parks and fitness; safety services such as police and fire stations; daily needs like bakeries and laundry; libraries and community centres; entertainment; pet care; and fuel and parking.
Filter the list to focus on what matters most to you — for example schools within a few kilometers, or hospitals and pharmacies near a potential home. Each result shows distance from your chosen location so you can judge proximity at a glance.
Livability score
The livability score is a number from 0 to 100 based on amenity coverage (how many relevant places exist in your area) and proximity (how close the nearest options are), weighted for typical relocation priorities. Labels help you interpret results quickly: Excellent (80+), Good (60–79), Fair (40–59), and Limited (below 40). Expand the score for a per-category breakdown so you can see strengths and gaps — for example strong parks and shopping but fewer schools nearby.
Use Location Insight as a free neighborhood livability map alongside visits and local research. Map data may come from OpenStreetMap contributors or Google Maps, depending on configuration. Geocoding respects Nominatim usage policy when OpenStreetMap search is active.
